Coffee grinder thermos design
Designing a thermos with a built-in coffee grinder requires careful consideration of storage capacity and coffee quantity (15-18 grams per cup). Burrs provide a finer grind for bold coffee, while blades give a coarser grind for milder taste. Ceramic materials are preferred over metal to avoid a metallic flavor. The design should feature user-friendly controls and airtight seals to maintain freshness.
French Press
Designing a thermos with a built-in coffee grinder and French press involves selecting the right storage capacity, grinding mechanism, and materials, along with effective filtration. The integrated French press separates grounds, allowing you to pour freshly brewed coffee directly into a cup. This design offers the convenience of freshly ground coffee and the flexibility to enjoy a fresh cup on-the-go.
Fresh coffee beans are filled into the hopper.
Turn the grinder in either direction to grind coffee beans. Each turn activates the mechanism, opening the lid and releasing coffee powder into the thermos.
Hot water is poured into the thermos.
This works like a French press: the lid moves up and down, brewing the coffee.
When it is rotated, the central rod causes both the grinder to turn and the French press to dip and rise in the water, thereby completing the brewing process.
