Multifunctional Coffee Grinder

Motivation
Coffee grinder thermos design
​​​​​​​Designing a thermos with a built-in coffee grinder requires careful consideration of storage capacity and coffee quantity (15-18 grams per cup). Burrs provide a finer grind for bold coffee, while blades give a coarser grind for milder taste. Ceramic materials are preferred over metal to avoid a metallic flavor. The design should feature user-friendly controls and airtight seals to maintain freshness.
French Press
Designing a thermos with a built-in coffee grinder and French press involves selecting the right storage capacity, grinding mechanism, and materials, along with effective filtration. The integrated French press separates grounds, allowing you to pour freshly brewed coffee directly into a cup. This design offers the convenience of freshly ground coffee and the flexibility to enjoy a fresh cup on-the-go.

Fresh coffee beans are filled into the hopper.
Turn the grinder in either direction to grind coffee beans. Each turn activates the mechanism, opening the lid and releasing coffee powder into the thermos.
Hot water is poured into the thermos.
This works like a French press: the lid moves up and down, brewing the coffee.
When it is rotated, the central rod causes both the grinder to turn and the French press to dip and rise in the water, thereby completing the brewing process.

Motivation
IMMIB 2023 Industrial Design Compettion Specifications.
The project involves designing a variety of products and equipment for professionals, institutions, and disaster victims. This includes life support modules/systems for immediate deployment post-natural disasters, addressing basic human needs for sustenance, shelter, protection, sanitation, and hygiene. The focus extends to diverse products such as those for nutrition, shelter, protection, sanitation, and rescue, covering the needs of children and pets as well.
The competition theme centers on the critical hours following disasters, emphasizing the importance of rapid response for survivors. It covers products for use before, during, and after disasters, addressing the need for protection, shelter, and basic human necessities in the aftermath of disrupted infrastructure and services.

The chemical powder compartment is secured to the magazine section via pins.
The 500 ml capacity chemical powder compartment is held in place with 3 pins.
Tetrazone innovative fire extinguisher case. It has a capacity for three 500 ml chemical powder cartridges. The cartridges are placed into the Tetrazone fire extinguisher loader.

Gas flow is provided by turning the solenoid valve.
The Tetrazone fire extinguisher, with its ergonomic grip and replaceable powder reservoir, ensures efficient fire fighting. Its design draws inspiration from the aggressive Tropical Tetrazone fish.

Developing new product designs and user experiences to address future nutritional needs anticipated in 2028. (Project brief - Beko)
Problem
The use of chemical pesticides in agriculture significantly impacts product preservation and plant growth, with a pressing need to reduce chemical use and environmental harm. Amid climate change and resource scarcity, innovative solutions are essential to maintain and boost the productivity of non-GMO seeds. Additionally, rapid and accurate soil analysis is crucial for optimizing agricultural productivity.
Research
Excessive chemical use has degraded 35% of Egypt’s Nile Delta and 40% of Spain’s Almeria region, while precision farming in the Netherlands and Germany has improved soil health and productivity. In India’s Punjab, similar practices have reduced soil fertility by 20%. These examples highlight the importance of soil management for sustainable agriculture.​​​​​​​
Grundig Gardening Innovations proposes a system design using sound waves for efficient gardening practices. Traditionally, post-harvest losses were mitigated with chemicals, but new technologies utilizing sound waves have been developed to reduce environmental risks. In 2028, the world faces climate change, pollution, population growth, and resource scarcity, making food security a major concern.
Products and Details​​​​​​​
Innovative Seed Quality and Yield Analyzer.
Grundig SeedSide Seed Analysis Device uses microchips to assess seed quality, yield, and durability. These microchips monitor growth, health, and performance after grinding, identifying optimal conditions for soil, water, sunlight, temperature, humidity, pH, nutrients, and protection.
Seeds are poured through the open cover, passing through varying-sized holes to prevent clogging. Ground seed waste collects in the lower compartment for easy disposal. The device charges via a magnetic pin in the Gardenkit charger.
Magnetic & Wireless Charging
In the GardenKit charging unit, products charge magnetically. The system charges from the bottom and lifts vertically, displaying the charge percentage. There is also a wireless phone charging area at the top.
Pull the handle
The handle can be lifted to access the products, with the charging indicator active simultaneously. The products are charged with a magnetic pin in customized areas. The product is portable in two directions. 
Smart Farming: Soilyzer for Soil Analysis
Soilyzer connects to the GardenWhiz app and provides instant soil data (pH, organic matter, nutrients, temperature, clay content). Results are displayed and tracked in the app.
Stick
Soilyzer is embedded in soil.

Press the dial once to turn the device on, press again to turn it off.

SonicSide: Revolutionizing Food Safety
Sonicside uses ultrasonic waves to enhance plant growth, preserve nutrients, delay decay, and eliminate pathogens. It boosts seed germination and root development, with easy control through the GardenWhiz app and a single-button operation.
Press the on/off button to operate the device. The drilling head is attached, and the device is planted into the ground. Ultrasonic waves destroy pathogens within a set time.

Focused on post-disaster needs such as coordination, health, safety, and shelter. Designed for permanent installation on surfaces like sidewalks or parks, or attachment to vehicles. Complies with Turkish norms and traffic regulations. Energy needs and supply methods are specified. Built to withstand environmental conditions and vandalism. Equipped with units for the required functions (equipment, heating/cooling, water installations, storage, etc.). Functional spaces are designed to meet specific needs, with a form language or corporate identity aligned with the function.
The CR20N cabin type tow vehicle has a curb weight of 7,400 kg and a maximum loaded weight of 18,000 kg. Dimensions are 3,700 x 2,550 mm.
